PROJECT PRESENTATION / At 743,000 square metres the New International Airport Mexico City will become one of the world’s largest airports when it opens in 2020. The project is a collaboration between Foster + Partners, FR-EE and NACO. Presentation by Peter Mortensen, BIM Coordinator, Foster + Partners.
HOST / Emil Thorup will host Nordic BIM Academy. Emil Thorup is an eminent presenter with experience from Live TV shows that have reached over a million viewers. Besides being a sought-after presenter and TV-host. Emil Thorup is also founder of HANDVÄRK that specialize in furniture design
FIELD TRIP / Kalvebod Fælled School is designed by renowned Danish Architects Lundgaard & Tranberg. The school has a focus on sport and movement and sports facilities are therefore placed at the heart of the circular school building, that also makes most of its combined urban and nature close location.
PROJECT PRESENTATION / The new acute care hospital in North Zealand are experimenting with VR in the building process and are also planning to use VR once the hospital is up and running. Learn the project team’s experiences with user enhancement through VR and digital tools. Presentation by Sune From, Project Director, New North Zealand Hospital
PROJECT PRESENTATION / Tagkronen is a housing project based on the principles of sustainability, community and livability. The project provides a mix of housing types, built using recyclable materials and near to public transport. The project is built from prefabricated wood modules – a very CO2-friendly construction technique. Presentation by Sangberg.
PROJECT PRESENTATION / Tripla is a mixed-use project with 355.000 sqm gross area that will comprise a shopping mall, congress center, housing, a hotel, a multiplex cinema and a public transportation hub. In Tripla BIM allows continuous communication between dozens of engineers, consultants, city and state authorities, and contractors. KEYNOTE SPEAKER / For years we have worked on integrating digital tools in the construction industry with the main purpose to eliminate mistakes and work smarter – but is this really happening? And what is the main reason for digitalization? Torben Klitgaard, Director of BLOXHUB – a community and co-working space for sustainable urbanization, shares his views.
FIELD TRIP / At the site of a former Police station at Hummeltoftevej North of Copenhagen a new residential project consisting of 148 apartments is under development. MT Højgaard, one of Denmark’s largest constructors, is in charge of the sustainable project with Werk Architects and Mannik & Storm as close collaborators.
Keynote Speaker / New technologies are opening a whole new world of possibilities. Lene Espersen is CEO at The Danish Association of Architectural Firms, and will talk about the benefits and challenges of digitalization in the AEC-industry.
STUDIO PRESENTATION / Aidea is an integrated architectural design studio that is listed as one of the 100 largest architectural firms in the world. The company is located in Manila in the Philippines and has a staff of around 170. Aidea is engaged in large projects all over the world, and since 2005 they have exclusively used BIM as their working method. Presentation by Abelardo M. Tolentino Jr., CEO, Aidea.
FIELD TRIP / Building 310 at The Technical University of Denmark is a new research and laboratory building that will function as a new base DTU Energy In addition, the building will contain a new 3D Imaging Center for DTU Physics, DTU Energy and DTU Compute.
